Letter from Alexander Cleland to Mrs. Christy Mathewson

DescriptionA typed letter on brown paper from Alexander Cleland to Jane Mathewson, wife of Christy Mathewson, dated August 30, 1937. This is a copy of the original letter. Mathewson is misspelled with two letter "T." Cleland is inquiring about the Christy Mathewson bust. A museum trustee is interested in purchasing it to donate to the Baseball Museum if the price is not too prohibitive. Cleland also informs her that a new fireproof building is being built to house the museum articles and plaques. The verso (not shown) is blank.
