DescriptionA typed letter from W. F. Coyle to the National Baseball Museum, June 13, 1938. It is written on letterhead that reads "Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, 1010 Pine Street, St. Louis, Chestnut 9800." Coyle was the assistant general attorney for this company. To the left it has Coyle's name and title and John Mohler, general attorney, and to the right, is the date. Coyle writes that he has a book titled "Haney's Base Ball 1868," by Andrew Peck and Company. It contains the rules, player photographs, description of plays at various positions. He writes that the majority of players have sideburns or whiskers. He writes to ask if the museum is interested, and ask for a reply. It is signed "W.F. Coyle." The verso (not shown) is blank.
