DescriptionA 5-page letter with envelope (not shown) written by Roxey Roach to his wife, Nelle, August 29, 1912. It is handwritten, back-to-back, on 3 pages, on Hotel Cheltenham, Buffalo, NY letterhead. He writes to tell her how excited he was to learn that they were both fine and in good condition. He was afraid to open the letter but happy that the baby is well and lives. He tells her the last few days he couldn't do anything right. He was worried but is happy now. He will write to his mother with the news. He tells her the doctor's telegram said "a boy arrived at 3 AM, both are fine condition. He tells her he will ask the manager, Dunn, if he can leave Saturday. He tells her to be careful, he doesn't want her to get sick. He signs it "All my love and kisses for you and Baby, Always Yours, Wilbur, xxxx," his given name.
