McGraw is holding a baseball bat in his free hand. Chase is dressed in the New York Highlanders home uniform whereas McGraw is dressed in the New York Giants road uniform. The Polo Grounds stadium is visible in the background. Numerous baseball fans are in the stadium seating in the background. An unidentified baseball player is visible in the background walking away on the field. Based on McGraw and Chase's uniforms and their time with their respective teams this photograph was taken in approximately 1910.
