Governor Dewey's wife, and two children, John and Thomas, look on beside him. The Polo Grounds is in the background and is full of baseball fans. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants home uniform. The caption on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Manager Mel Ott (left) of a New York Giants shakes hands with Governor Thomas E.
