DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott captured seated at a desk during a conference with several sports writers. Ott is leaning back in his chair and has his hands held together. He has a straight face. Sports writers are surrounding Ott throughout the room and around his desk. All of the gentlemen are dressed in suits. Numerous sports writers are captured jotting notes down on their notepads. Based on a date stamped on the reverse (not shown), this photograph was probably taken in 1941.
