DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Ossie Vitt captured in profile watching the Cleveland Indians baseball game from the Indians dugout. Vitt is seated on the bench and has his left foot tucked under his right leg. He appears to have a surprised expression on his face and he is looking to his right. Vitt is dressed in the Cleveland Indians home uniform. He managed the Indians from 1938 through 1940. The unidentified Cleveland Indians players are captured standing behind Vitt in the dugout with surprised expressions. Above the top of the dugout numerous fans are visible in the stands. Based on Vitt's uniform and his time with the Indians, this negative was probably taken in 1940.
