Ossie Vitt Dugout negative
Dateprobably 1940
DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Ossie Vitt captured observing the Cleveland Indians game in the dugout. Vitt is seated on the front bench and has his left hand placed on his hip. His right arm is resting on top of his leg and his feet are propped up on the bottom stair that leads to the dugout. Seated on the left is Ken Keltner. Soup Campbell, on the right, has his foot resting on one of the stairs that leads to the dugout and has his arms crossed. Keltner, Vitt and Campbell all have shocked expressions on their faces. They are all dressed in the Cleveland Indians home uniform. Several other unidentified Indians players are captured throughout the dugout. Above the dugout, numerous fans are visible throughout the stands. Based on Vitt's uniform and his time as a manager for the Indians, this negative was probably taken in 1940.
