DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Bob Feller, wearing a Cleveland Indians uniform, pitching. Feller is in the process of finishing a pitch thrown to a batter during a live baseball game. This is indicated by the positioning of Feller's body on the pitching mound in front of the pitching rubber. This includes his right plant leg kicking dirt up as he shifts his weight to his left, stepping foot towards home plate in addition to his right are being held across his chest towards his left glove hand. He is also staring transfixed towards what appears to be home plate and batter with a serious expression on his face. What indicates that this is also a live game is that there is a fielder in the set-position of crouching with his hands at knee-level at first base in the first background plane and there is sparse attendees observing Feller's pitch in the farthest background plane. Based on the details of the uniform, the photograph was taken between 1946 and 1949.
