DescriptionThe scorecard is from the second game of a double header played between the New York Metropolitans and Pittsburgh Alleghenys on May 30, 1885 at Recreation Park in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. The game was won by New York by a score of 6 to 2. The scorecard in printed in black ink and is filled out in pencil. The front cover has a full length, black and white batter and reads "Official Score Card Published by Pittsburgh Fire Arms Co." The back cover has an advertisement for the Pittsburgh Fire Arms Co. and shows five black and white pictures of rugby ball, a uniform top, uniform pants, spikes, and a man on a large wheel bicycle.
