Earle Mack is holding a piece of paper in his hand. Connie Mack Jr. has his arms around his father, Connie Mack and brother Roy Mack. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the front of the photograph and states, "Connie Mack (second from left) 'Mister Baseball' who is observing his 87th birthday today, joins his three sons in singing the usual 'Happy Birthday' song in his Philadelphia Athletics office here. The sons are: (left to right) Earl, Connie Jr., and Roy. Mack has been in baseball for 65 years, 50 of them as boss of the A's." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on December 22, 1949.
