A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) (not shown) and states, "Waiting: 91-year-old Connie Mack gestures during A's franchise meeting, today, Earle sits beside his dad." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on October 28, 1954. The creation date and identifications are based on similar photographs taken during this period. Connie Mack III is the son of Roy Mack.
