DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Walter O'Malley, right, and John Collins, left, captured standing arm in arm during a conversation at the Baseball Writers' Association of America annual dinner. Both gentlemen are dressed in tuxedos and Collins appears to be captured in mid sentence while O'Malley has a straight face. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the front of the photograph and states, "Walter F. O'Malley (R), president of Brooklyn Dodgers, speaks with his former business manager, John Collins, at 29th annual dinner of the New York Chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America here 2/3. O'Malley said Collins has resigned, but will continue on club's payroll temporarily. He issued the statement while Kings County officials were investigating a reported missing $25,000in ticket receipts..." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on February 3, 1953.
