He looks towards the pitcher with a serious expression on his face. His body is twisted and his left leg is slightly behind him as he leans forward. The image caption on the reverse (not shown) reads, "The Old War Horse Works Out. Tyrus Raymond Cobb, one of the greatest ball players that ever lived, who is out of actual baseball competition, as he smacked out a hot one while working out with the Baltimore Orioles at Augusta."
