Pedro Martinez All-Star Game shirt

DescriptionWhite polyester shirt, size 46, with red piping down the front placket and around the neckline. Front placket has six clear buttons. Front of the shirt has red and blue "Red Sox" appliques and proper right sleeve has a navy and red embroidered manufacturer logo. Proper left sleeve has a green, red and blue patch, "Boston All-Star Game '99." Proper left front shirttail has manufacturer labels, including "Russell Athletic," "Diamond Collection / 46" and "100% polyester / 2" extra length." Reverse of shirt has "45" in red and blue appliques.

Bio/Historical NoteShirt worn by Pedro Martinez of the Boston Red Sox, the American League's starting pitcher during the 1999 All-Star Game played at Fenway Park on July 13, 1999. Martinez was named the game's MVP after striking out five of the first six batters he faced. The American League defeated the National League 4-1.
