Wrigley Field "No Lights" shirt
Date1982
DescriptionYellow short sleeve T-shirt, size small, with "No Lights! In Wrigley Field / Citizens United for Baseball in Sunshine" in red lettering on the front. "Support Day Baseball" is in red lettering on the back of the shirt.
Bio/Historical NoteDespite the protests of C.U.B.S (Citizens United for Baseball in Sunshine) and those who wore these t-shirts, the Chicago Cubs finally hosted their first night game on August 8, 1988. Rain canceled the contest after four innings, so Chicago's 6-4 victory over the New York Mets the following evening earned the distinction of being the first official major league night game at Wrigley Field.
