DescriptionGreen painted metal rectangular scoreboard sign with yellow numeral "1" on one side and masking tape in a cross shape on the reverse.

Bio/Historical NoteThis numeral "1" sign was posted on Wrigley Field's manual scoreboard to signify the solo home run hit by Sammy Sosa, his 62nd of the 1998 season on September 13, 1998. With this ninth-inning solo home run against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers, Sosa passed Roger Maris' former record of 61 home runs in a season.
