DescriptionWhite polyester shirt, size 48, with five buttons down the front placket and navy blue pinstripes. Proper left front chest has a blue and red team logo patch. Proper left front shirttail has manufacturer labels, including "Russell Athletic," "Diamond Club" and sizing information. Proper left sleeve has a team patch and a "Hey Hey" patch. Proper right sleeve has the Harry Caray memorial patch. Reverse of the shirt has "Sosa 21" in blue appliques. Interior back ofthe neck has "48-48-98-1" stitched in black thread.
Bio/Historical NoteShirt worn by Sammy Sosa of the Chicago Cubs when he recorded his 59th through 62nd home runs of the 1998 season. Sosa hit his 59th home run on September 11, 1998, his 60th home run on September 12, 1998 and his 61st and 62nd home runs on September 13, 1998.
