Tony Gwynn 3000th Career Hit shoes

DescriptionBlack patent leather shoes, size 11, with rubber cleats on the bottom soles. Inner and outer sides of the shoes have black manufacturer logos outlined in white. There are also white embroidered manufacturer logos on the top toe sections. Each shoe has black laces which extend up underneath the tongues. The oversize tongues have "5.5 Hole" stitched in white thread with small manufacturer logos. "3,000" is handwritten in silver ink on each tongue. Heels have "Zoom Air" in the center and black woven loops at the top back ankle. Soles are black, red and white rubber with many raised rubber cleats. Underside of each tongue has a white label, "Dev. Code Promo, SRF 3836, Size 11."

Bio/Historical NoteShoes worn by Tony Gwynn of the San Diego Padres on August 6, 1999 when he recorded his 3,000th career hit. The Padres defeated the Montreal Expos, 12-10.
