DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Babe Ruth and two men, the one on the right identified as Sheriff John A. Keliher, visiting the Charles St. jail in Boston, MA. According to the back of the photograph (not shown), they are visiting the jail on June 26, 1926 but further research by the Museum's Senior Curator indicates the photograph was actually taken on June 25, 1926. Ruth is standing between the unidentified gentleman and Sheriff Keliher, holding a bat. All three men are wearing suits are standing outside, in front of the jail. There is a car visible in the background.
