Tony Gwynn helmet

DescriptionNavy blue plastic helmet, size 7 1/8, with a proper right ear protector and a white and orange "SD" logo sticker on the front. There is an orange and white "19" sticker on the top of the bill in the center along with a "19" sticker in orange at the rear of the helmet above an MLB logo sticker and "ABC" sticker. Underside of the bill has "'93" and "7 1/8" scratched into the proper right side near the center. Ear protector has interior fabric covered foam padding along with a triangular piece on the interior rear. There is a circular pad of high-density foam on the interior top crown. There is a vinyl-covered sweatband around the interior perimeter. Interior front has two stickers, one warning sticker and another illegible.

Bio/Historical NoteBatting helmet worn by Tony Gwynn of the San Diego Padres during the 1995 season. Gwynn won the National League batting title in 1995.
