DescriptionA black-and-white picture postcard of an unidentified man captured holding an unidentified woman in his right arm as he holds an outstretched gloved hand overhead, ball in glove. The man is glancing down at the women with a large grin. He is dressed in a baseball uniform. She is smiling, leaning back into his arm as if fainting with one hand supporting her head while her left arm is posed at her side. She is also dressed in a baseball uniform, hers has Elmwood stitched across the front. The caption on the front of the picture postcard reads "Catching a hot one." There is a letter on the reverse of the picture postcard written to Ella Matthews that reads, "Oct. 20 -10 Dear Ella - Your letter tonight saying - you are going to B. so will not visit as you will not get it. A.V. is off on a sheep deal [?] today. Do not know if we will go hunting or not. Have got a letter from Anna C. Write me from Butts[?]." The copyright and publisher information is printed at the bottom of the postcard.
