DescriptionA black-and-white picture postcard of an unidentified man dressed as a baseball player about to throw a baseball. He is smiling, looking over his left shoulder at an unidentified woman, also dressed as a baseball player. The woman is leaning towards him, hands on his shoulders, with her lips puckered to kiss him. Both the man and woman are dressed in generic baseball uniforms. A caption on the front of the picture postcard reads, A Balk." A letter on the reverse written to Mr. Henderson Foster from Arthur reads, "Dear friend Hendy, I don't blame the fellow for balking do you? I saw in the paper where B.H.S. beat you 9-5, keep at them boy and don't give up. If you don't beat them next time leave it to C.H.S. We play B.H.S. May 25. When I saw the score it made me homesick, the first time since I arrived. Have had great success. Arthur..." The copyright and publisher information is printed at the bottom of the postcard.
