DescriptionGold ring with a clear gem set within a small three-dimensional aerial view depiction of a stadium with "Pittsburgh / World Champions" in gold lettering around the perimeter. One shank has a large "P" logo with "Warren C. Giles" inscribed on a ribbon above and "N.L. Pres." inscribed on a ribbon below. Opposite shank has a depiction of the head and shoulders of a pirate wearing an eyepatch with "Pirates" on a ribbon above and "1960" on a ribbon below. There is a manufacturer stamp on the interior of the band.
Bio/Historical NoteThe 1960 World Series featured the National League champion Pittsburgh Pirates against the American League champion New York Yankees. The Pirates defeated the Yankees, four games to three.
