DescriptionA black-and-white mid-length photograph of Cy Young and Tris Speaker shaking hands, circa 1936. The two players are leaning against a wall on the field. Young is wearing a uniform with "Old Timers" written across the front and looking towards the camera. Speaker is wearing a Cleveland Indians road uniform and his body is slightly turned to his right toward Young who he is looking at. In the background the grandstand is full of fans. Based on research that Cy Young was on a traveling team called the Young Old Timers between 1935 and 1938 the photograph was taken with in that time range.
