Ball has been signed in black ink on the sweet spot, "Randy Johnson #51." To the left of this on the same panel is "6-24-97 / -vs- Oakland / 19K's" handwritten in black ink.
Bio/Historical NoteIn 1997, Randy Johnson became the first big league pitcher to strike out 19 or more batters in a nine-inning game twice in the same season. This ball is from the first of these historic games on June 24th against the Oakland A's.
