DescriptionA full-length color photograph of Liván Hernández pitching. On the mound, wearing a San Francisco Giants road uniform, Hernández lunges forward, in the direction of the batter, dragging his straight, back right leg. Looking forward, in the direction that he is about to hurl the ball, Hernández is captured mid-pitch. Wearing a glove on his left hand, that rests against left side, chest height, Hernández extends his right arm behind his body shoulder height, with his right hand, that grips the ball, pointing upwards. Visible in the background of the photograph is the outfield wall and another player. Visible in the lower left corner of the image is a sticker with a Major League Baseball 2000 and a Photo File, Inc. 2000 copyright logo, as well as a Major League Baseball Players Association logo. Based on the specific design of the uniform worn by Hernández, this image was captured between 1999, his first year with the Giants, and 2000, the year this photograph was donated to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
