Walter O'Malley, Walter Alston and Pee Wee Reese photograph

Date1956 September 30
DescriptionA black-and-white photograph, from left to right, of Walter Alston, Walter O'Malley and Pee Wee Reese captured celebrating after the Brooklyn Dodgers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-6 which allowed the Dodgers to claim the 1956 National League Pennant. Alston has a large grin as he looks off to the side out of the corner of his eyes. O'Malley has both his arms raised up high and has a huge smile. Reese is also smiling with joy over the win and title. Reese is dressed in the Brooklyn Dodgers home uniform. A caption is on the back of the photograph and states, "Brooklyn- Pix shows a joyous Dodger President Walter F. O'Malley as he stands between his Manager Walt Alston and his Captain Pee Wee Reese after the Dodgers had won the National League Pennant." Based on the caption this photograph was taken on September 30, 1956.
