Date1951 October 03
DescriptionA black-and-white photograph, from left to right, of Roy Campanella, Walter O'Malley and Pee Wee Reese captured seated with one another following the Brooklyn Dodgers 4-5 loss to the New York Giants. O'Malley has his arms around both Campanella and Reese with a smile on his face. Both Campanella and Reese are looking at one of the another. All three gentlemen are dressed in suits. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the front of the photograph and states, "Flanked by Dodger catcher Roy Campanella (L) and shortstop Pee Wee Reese (R), Dodger president Walter O'Malley can still smile in the drawing room after Dodgers dropped the NL pennant with a 5-4 loss to the Giants in the final playoff game 10/3." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on October 03, 1951.
