DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Pee Wee Reese captured practicing his batting swing on a baseball field. Reese has his legs planted apart from one another in a wide stance. His head in tilted down and he is holding the baseball bat out in front of him. Reese's right hand has just released the bat. He is dressed in a Brooklyn Dodgers home uniform. Several other Brooklyn Dodger players are located in the background on the baseball field warming up. One player in the background has the number 19 visible on the back of his uniform. Ebbets Field is also in the background and several fans are visible in the stands. An unidentified gentleman dressed in a dress coat and hat is in the background on the baseball field as well. Based on Reese's uniform and his time with the Dodgers, this negative was taken between 1940 and 1942.
