DescriptionWhite leather shoes, size 9, with three red stripes on both the inner and outer sides and white laces. Oversize tongues extend down over the top portion of the laces and have blue manufacturer labels in the center. "30" is handwritten in black marker below each blue label on the flaps. "Adidas / MVP" is stamped into the outer middle portion of each shoe by the red stripes. Heels have red upper portions. Bottom soles are white plastic with six metal spikes.

Bio/Historical NoteShoes worn by California Angels' pitcher Nolan Ryan on September 27, 1973, when he recorded his 383rd strikeout of the season, setting a new season record and breaking Sandy Koufax's single-season strikeout record of 382 set in 1965. The Angels defeated the Minnesota Twins 5-4.
