Mariano Rivera World Series Autographed shoes

DescriptionBlack leather shoes, size 10 1/2, with black fabric laces and white manufacturer logos on both the inner and outer sides. "42" is handwritten in black ink on the outer side manufacturer logo on each shoe. Oversize tongues extend down over the laces and are held in place with hook-and-loop fasteners. Tongue flaps have "Nike" embroidered in white with "Mariano Rivera" and "MVP" handwritten in silver ink. Upper heels have "Nike" in white lettering with a logo. Interiors are white leather and the insoles are white with a manufacturer logo. Bottom soles are white, blue and black plastic with six metal spikes. Right shoe has additional rubber toe reinforcement on the inner side.
Bio/Historical NoteShoes worn by New York Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera during the 1999 World Series against the Atlanta Braves. The Yankees swept the Series in four games for their second consecutive title, third in four years, and 25th overall. Rivera was named the Series MVP.
