DescriptionBlack leather shoes with white stripes on sides (stripes have been colored over with black shoe polish) and black laces. "41" and three dots are handwritten in black ink on each insole. Top of tongues appear to have been cut. Manufacturer labels are stitched into the interior underside of the tongue of each shoe. "41" is handwritten in black ink on these labels. Bottom soles are white plastic with six metal spikes.

Bio/Historical NoteShoes worn by New York Mets pitcher Tom Seaver when he struck out 19 players on April 22, 1970, versus the San Diego Padres. He fanned the last 10 batters in succession.
