Red Murray jacket

DescriptionGrey wool double button front long-sleeved jacket with red trim on the collar, sleeve ends, and pockets. There are six large white exterior buttons down the front. There are two small white interior buttons, with the bottom button is missing. "STL" is appliqued in red felt on proper left chest. There is a gold-colored "Rawlings Sporting Goods" label at the interior back of the neck. "RAUB" is handwritten in ink on this tag.
Bio/Historical NoteSt. Louis Cardinals jacket worn by outfielder Red Murray between 1906 and 1908. The Cardinals first adopted the interlocking "STL" logo in 1903. This warm-up jacket features an early version of this now famous symbol.
