DescriptionBlack painted wooden bat, 32 ounces, with two silver painted bands around the taper, an "Easton Sports" logo in the center of the barrel and "Pro Stix SS-6 / Sammy Sosa / Chicago Cubs" near the end of the barrel. Handwritten in silver ink on the barrel is "#21 Sammy Sosa / 500HR." Barrel end tip is cupped and has "21" handwritten in gold ink. Knob end is wrapped with white athletic tape forming a large round knob.
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Sammy Sosa of the Chicago Cubs to record his 500th career home run on April 4, 2003 off Cincinnati's Scott Sullivan at Cincinnati's new Great American Ballpark. Sosa became the 18th player in Major League history to reach the 500th home run mark and the first Latin American player to accomplish this feat.
