Sammy Sosa 57th Season Home Run bat

DescriptionBlack painted wood bat, 32 ounces, with a silver painted stripe where the taper meets the barrel. There is a silver painted "Rawlings" trademark logo in the center of the barrel and "Big Stick / Sammy Sosa / Cubs" in silver block letters near the end of the barrel. There is pine tar on the handle and gauze tape extending from the handle over the knob end.

Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Sammy Sosa of the Chicago Cubs on September 4, 1998 to record his 57th home run of the 1998 season, breaking the Cubs' season record previously held by Hack Wilson.
