Jimmy Rollins 36-Game Hitting Streak helmet

DescriptionRed plastic helmet, size 7 1/4, with a white "P" sticker logo on the front and a proper right side ear protector. Top crown has four ventilation holes. Proper left side has a white sticker with a red cross. Rear of the helmet has a red and white "11" sticker above an MLB logo sticker. Interior has a black vinyl-covered foam sweatband around the perimeter along with pads at the rear, top crown and around the ear protector. Interior crown also has stickers, including a "Rawlings" sticker, a warning label and a sizing sticker. There is also an MLB Authentication hologram sticker.

Bio/Historical NoteHelmet worn by Jimmy Rollins of the Philadelphia Phillies on October 2, 2005, the final game of the season, when he extended his hitting streak to 36 games. Rollins would eventually extend the streak two games into the 2006 season, but it ended on April 6, 2006 when he failed to get a hit in a game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Helmet bears the American Red Cross emblem in honor of the volunteers and victims of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
