DescriptionBlack maple bat, 31 ounces, with gold decal in the center of the barrel, "Sam Bat," and gold lettering on the end of the barrel, "Chicago White Sox / KB 1 / Scott Podsednik / Wilson." Barrel end tip is cupped and unpainted with "33 1/2 / 31 oz / 3 3 05 / KB1 / 5749" handwritten in black ink. Knob end has a white sticker with a red maple leaf.
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Scott Podsednik of the Chicago White Sox to record the game-ending home run in Game 2 of the 2005 World Series. The White Sox defeated the Astros 7-6 in Game 2 and won 4-0 in the series, winning their third World Series championship and their first in 88 seasons.
