DescriptionWooden bat, 33 ounces, with a black painted barrel and natural stain handle, knob and taper. There is a silver painted stripe separating the black painted barrel from the natural stain handle with a silver painted "Rawlings" logo at the center of the barrel. "Big Stick / Jason Varietk (misspelled) / -Pro-" is in silver lettering near the end of the barrel. Handle has white and black tape near the knob. Knob end and barrel end tip have "33" handwritten in black ink. Knob end also has "32 7/8 / Varitek" handwritten in blue ink with "456 A / 019 07" stamped in the wood.
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Boston Red Sox captain Jason Varitek to record the fourth consecutive team home run in the third inning of the game played on April 22, 2007 against the New York Yankees. His home run followed blasts by Manny Ramirez, J.D. Drew and Mike Lowell, making the Red Sox the fifth team in history to hit four consecutive home runs.
