Orlando Cepeda helmet

DescriptionDark blue fiberglass batting helmet with light strands of fiber visible on the surface. Front center has a white "A" logo sticker. The top of the bill has "30" on a black sticker directly underneath the "A" sticker. Helmet does not have any ear protectors. Top crown has two ventilation holes. Interior has a brown leather sweatband around the perimeter. Remnants of a manufacturer label are visible on the interior near the front ventilation hole.

Bio/Historical NoteAtlanta Braves batting helmet worn by Orlando Cepeda on April 2, 1971 during an exhibition game against the Washington Senators played at Rickwood Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama.
