Bert Blyleven World Baseball Classic Autographed cap

DescriptionOrange cap, size 7 3/8, with a black bill, top button and black embroidered "NL" logo on the front. Top of the bill has "2009 World Baseball Classic / Go Dutch / Bert Blyleven" handwritten in white marker. Proper left side has an embroidered Netherlands flag. Rear center has an embroidered World Baseball Classic logo. Underside of the bill is black with "28" handwritten in white marker. Interior black cloth sweatband has three manufacturer labels, including "World Baseball Classic," "New Era" and sizing information.

Bio/Historical NoteBert Blyleven donned this cap as the pitching coach of his native Netherlands during the 2009 World Baseball Classic. The Hall of Famer guided a young staff of mostly minor leaguers to a pair of upset victories against a powerful Dominican lineup that featured several MLB All-Stars. Japan emerged victorious for the second straight Classic, winning the final game 5-3 in 10 innings.
