Yu Darvish World Baseball Classic shirt

DescriptionDark blue polyester shirt with red inserts at the shoulders and sides. Front has red silk-screen printing, "Japan / 11." Proper left sleeve has a small World Baseball Classic patch and a large white "Asahi / Soft Drinks" patch. Proper right sleeve has a small silk-screen printed Japanese flag. Reverse has a World Baseball Classic logo patch at the top back of the neck, red silk-screen printed "Darvish / 11" and an MLB Authentication hologram sticker. Interior rear of the shirttail has a manufacturer label, "Mizuno Pro / 09- / 11."

Bio/Historical NoteShirt worn by Yu Darvish of Team Japan during the 2009 World Baseball Classic championship game on March 23rd when he struck out South Korea's Keun-Woo Jeong in the bottom of the tenth inning to give Japan its second WBC championship. In five WBC games, Darvish posted a 2-1 record, a 2.08 ERA, and led all WBC pitchers with 20 strikeouts in 13 innings pitched.
