DescriptionBlue polyester mesh shirt, size 40, with seven blue buttons down the front placket. Red, yellow and white appliques on the front chest, "Japan / 18." Sides of the shirt have red panels that extend from the edges of the sleeves down underneath the arms to the bottom of the shirt. Proper left sleeve has a white patch with blue lettering, "Ashi / Soft Drinks," with World Baseball Classic and "Mizuno" logo patches. Proper right sleeve has a flag of Japan patch. Reverse of the shirt has "Matsuzaka / 18" in red and gold outlined appliques. "8" has been autographed in black marker. There is a World Baseball Classic logo patch at the back of the neck on the reverse of the shirt. Interior back shirttail has a "Mizuno Pro" manufacturer label with "06- / 18" in black lettering.

Bio/Historical NoteShirt worn by Daisuke Matsuzaka, starting pitcher for Team Japan in the 2006 World Baseball Classic. Matsuzaka won three games with an ERA of 1.38 and was named MVP of the 2006 World Baseball Classic, leading Japan to the championship win.
