DescriptionRed leather fielder's glove with four finger stalls and a thumb stall. Finger stalls are connected at the top by a connecting lace. Between thumb and finger stalls is webbing made up of three pieces of horizontal leather and one vertical piece, attached with laces. Palm side of the glove has several stamps, including "Mizuno," "World Win Professional," "Multi-Hinge," and "Press formed Pocket." On the back side of the glove, along the thumb stall, is an embroidered passage, "Carp," and two Japanese characters. Under that passage is a "Lite Flex" stamp. There is also a black, red, and yellow "Mizuno" patch above the thumb. Along the pinky finger stall is a manufacturer information stamp. Near the hand opening is a tightening mechanism with a manufacturer logo button attached.
Bio/Historical NoteGlove used by Sachio Kinugasa of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp during practice on June 13, 1987 when he broke Lou Gehrig's record by playing in his 2,131st consecutive game. Nine years later, this record was broken by Cal Ripken, Jr.
