Dylan Axelrod World Baseball Classic yarmulke

DescriptionBlue suede four-panel yarmulke sewn together at each seam and on the perimeter edge with blue thread wrapped in clear monofilament. There is "WBC 2017" in silver lettering with the Star of David on one panel and a depiction of a ballplayer swinging a bat on the opposite panel. Interior has a tag with Hebrew lettering.

Bio/Historical NoteDuring their pregame ceremonies throughout the 2017 World Baseball Classic, Team Israel replaced their caps with yarmulkes for the playing of Hatikvah, Israel's national anthem. Dylan Axelrod, a member of the team, wore this yarmulke during the anthem.
