DescriptionRed and white cap, size 7 1/4, with a red, white and black team logo embroidered on the front. Front two panels are red with white stars overlaid with white netting, while the remaining four panels are red. There is an MLB logo patch at the rear center with an American flag background. Underside of the bill is light gray with an MLB Authentication hologram sticker. Interior black cotton sweatband has three manufacturer labels, including "Authentic Collection," "New Era" and a sizing tag. "21" is handwritten in black ink on the interior proper right front panel.
Bio/Historical NoteCap worn by Christian Yelich of the Miami Marlins at Fort Bragg on July 3, 2016 against the Atlanta Braves. According to MLB, this was the first professional game of any sport to be played on an active military base and the first ever regular season major league game in North Carolina. Yelich, whose brother was currently active duty in the Marines, went 3-for-5 with a RBI in the game, a 5-2 Marlins win.
