Bio/Historical NoteCap worn by Miami Marlins pitcher Pablo Lopez on July 12, 2021, a game he started and won against the Atlanta Braves. Lopez began the game by striking out each of the first 9 batters he faced, setting a new AL/NL record for consecutive strikeouts to start a game. They were the only 9 strikeouts he would record while allowing 3 runs in 6.0 innings. The cap's unique design reflects the Marlins' "City Connect" uniforms which pay homage to the Cuban Sugar Kings.
