DescriptionNavy blue cap, size 7 1/4, with a red button at the top crown and a red, white, and gold embroidered "TC" logo at the front center. Proper left side has a white embroidered manufacturer logo. Rear center has a red, white, and blue embroidered MLB logo. Proper right side has a "2020 Postseason" embroidered logo. Underside of the bill is black with "18" handwritten in white ink and an MLB Authentication hologram sticker below. Interior black cotton sweatband has several manufacturer labels at the rear, including "Authentic Collection / Performance Headwear / Official On-Field Cap," "New Era" and a sizing tag. There is an handwritten inscription in Japanese in black ink on the interior two front panels as well as "KSKRK18" handwritten in black ink at the bottom of the proper right interior front panel.
Bio/Historical NoteCap worn by Japanese-born right-hander Kenta Maeda of the Minnesota Twins on September 29, 2020, when he started for the Twins, throwing the first pitch of the newly-created Wild Card Series. For 2020, with additional teams included in Postseason play, the Wild Card round of the Postseason was converted to a three-game series. The Twins hosted the Houston Astros in this series and were swept. Maeda pitched 5.0 scoreless innings, allowed three walks and two hits, but did not earn a decision in this game.
