DescriptionA 1964 Whitey Ford talking baseball card, produced by Auravision, a branch of Columbia Records. The audio produced by the talking baseball record is Whitey Ford giving tips on how to pitch, including developing control, developing new pitches, and fielding as a pitcher. He also gives advice to Little League players. The front of the card has an upper body picture of Ford dressed in a New York Yankees home uniform with his glove on his right hand and holding a baseball in his left.. He stands in front of a blue background with trees and a green border. Text in the upper corner reads "33 1/3 RPM." His signature is on the right side and the Sports Record, Inc. logo is in the upper right. The back is black font on a white background with red borders. The top half contains instructions on how to play the record, a print of a head and shoulders photograph of Ford, and "The Whitey Ford Story." The bottom half contains Ford's "Baseball History", which contains his statistics.
Bio/Historical NoteTo listen to the card, the user would punch the small circle out of the center of the record and lay it flat on any record player. This record is part of a complete set of 16 talking baseball card records.
