DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Mickey Mantle (left) and Billy Martin (right) posed together near the batting cage of the field at Yankee Stadium, taken between 1952 and 1956. Both players are shown from the waist up, wearing New York Yankees home uniforms. Mantle stands with his left arm resting on Martin's right shoulder. Martin holds a bat in front of himself, with the handle of the bat in his left armpit and holding the barrel of the bat with both hands. The date of the negative was determined by examining the records of Mantle and Martin's careers and the details of their uniforms.
